Education The apartment industry is a
progressive industry. We realize that continuing
education and specialized training are the keys to
success in this age of constantly changing
technology. For serious professionals, a variety of
educational programs are available. To register for
educational seminars, go back to the home page,
click on "Events" in the Member Services
area.
IAA offers training for National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP), Certified Apartment Manager
(CAM), and Certified Apartment Property Supervisor
(CAPS). The EdOps Program (Education Opportunities)
includes more than 30 seminars each year for $495
per apartment community. This fee allows ALL staff
from the community to attend ALL seminars throughout
the year. Contact IAA for details on a special price
available for those communities with less than 120
units.
S.T.E.P. (Service Technician Education
Program) is a similar subscription program of
maintenance-specific curriculum at a fantastic price
of $295 per apartment community. Additional workshops and seminars include Spanish
Culture & Awareness, Mold Remediation, and EPA/CFC
Certification. Other topics are offered on an
as-needed basis to meet the needs of our industry
professionals. And several online courses have been
added to the IAA curriculum, bringing education
directly to you.Morning Motivators are motivational, continental
breakfast meetings offered four times a year for
on-site personnel. Morning Motivator events provide
an opportunity for networking and information
exchange on stimulating topics.IAA is an approved school through the Real Estate
Commission for people with their real estate sales
and broker's license. Select seminars are approved
for CECs.We are very pleased to offer the IREM (Institute
of Real Estate Management) Certified Property
Manager (CPM) designation in 2008,
concluding in 2009. The entire CPM program can be
